To be honest, I can't see us invading Canada for purely racist reasons. Why should we go in there and kill a bunch of white people?

But I'll tell you what, as much as I joke about wanting to conquer Canada, if our government actually did it, I'd probably go partisan for you guys. That's just wrong. I would support an invasion of Mexico precisely because they are unstable and very much oppressed, and many Mexicans cross the border every year to escape that. We might actually give all Mexicans a better life by conquering them. But Canada is a totally different story.

I share your fears, my friend, and I'll do my best in 2004 to alleviate them, but I don't trust our voting system much anymore. Whether you believe Bush and Company screwed up the vote counts in Florida or not, it has become quite clear over the last century or so that our voting system doesn't work to represent the "will of the people".

And water is likely to become the next killer resource. Don't forget that over 1/3 of the US is desert, and another 1/3 of the US suffers droughts often enough that they're borderline desert anyway. Water has always been plentiful, but it is also the single resource we (or anybody else on this planet) can't live without.
