Read the words below. Remember what it says and how long it currently takes you to download a full length movie (Or any type of multi-gigabyte file). Return every few years, read the same words again and compare it to what you have by then, and mentally process the test below and see if you are living in the future yet:
If downloading a movie takes more than the time it takes for you to take a breath, then the Internet is still slow and don't let them tell you any different. Call in, complain that you expect better than second-rate service. Tell them "Your service is so slow, it makes me feel like I'm living in the past."

When you come back and read this years or centuries later, and the concept of thinking that "multi-gigabytes" is a laughably tiny amount of data to even be considered for a speed test - the you are truly living in a future that we could only vaguely imagine.
