Oh yah right, let's scrap the First Amendment - that'll stop the terrorists!

What kind of a world would that be? Is that the world you want to live in? Not having the freedom to criticize the government? Especially the current government. It's a horrible totalitarian mess, it scares me. And that these people are talking about taking away our most important right in order to save us from the boogeyman is the most terrifying thing I've heard in a long time.

Maybe if there were some medical advance that expanded our lifetime to thousands of years, these would be relevant topics to discuss. But we are a mess of bumbling organics that rarely live longer than a century. People die, you can't stop it. Making laws as if you can stop people from dying are an exercise in futility.

Maybe there has been such a medical discovery, but it's only shared amongst the elite class. Perhaps that explains why they are thinking such things. But I doubt it.

But no, I vehemently oppose what little Newt is suggesting. What a tool.
