The health care situation will never be resolved. No one really understands what is at stake, save for the insurance companies, HMO's and Big Pharma. It is criminal the U.S. doesn't have a single payer health care system for basic health care. Here we have the most powerful and wealthiest country in the world and it can't or won't provide basic health care to all citizens at a reasonable price with no strings attached while leaving tens of millions with no coverage and driving millions more into bankruptcy. While this is happening U.S. healthcare is putting up terrible statistics for the overall health of the population (life longevity, infant martality rates etc.)lagging behind all other industrialised countries, with most, if not all of them having some form of basic health care system AND spending far less per capita than the U.S. There should be riots in the streets over this. I don't get it.....
