Yes, Olbermann condemns the insurance companies in the United States in their desire to make a profit. But as I attempted to point out, apparently to no avail, he made absolutely no distinction, as T.R. Reid does in his book, between insurers such as the for-profit insurance companies in the U.S. and those in countries which have universal health care and which have insurance that its citizens must buy. But in those countries the insurance companies are NON-PROFIT. That means, as my previous comment tried to get across, that insurers in such companies as France and Germany and Japan can concentrate on keeping people healthy instead of trying to rip them off and where every person's basic health care needs have been met at a fraction of the price that the United States charges its citizens.

That is why I suggested it would be wise for Olbermann to have an expert like Reid on his program, a person who traveled to many places in order to discover how the health care systems work in those other countries. From that journey came his most pertinent, relevant and extremely well written book The Healing of America. Reid's research on this subject is a story that deserves to be heard and read by every thinking American in this country, which is why Olbermann should be allowing him to shed some much needed light upon this important but misunderstood topic.
