ISO files

If there is anyone around... I burnt the 7.1 disc 1 iso file on a cd, but it doesn't boot up. any suggestions?

Two things to try:

1) Go into your BIOS setup and make check your boot order to make sure CDROM comes before the hard drive.

2) If that doesn't work (Or you don't want to monkey with BIOS), take the CD to a machine running Windows, on the CD, go to the directory /7.1/i586/dosutils and run winrawwrite, this will start a program that will make a boot-loader floppy. It will want you to select an image. The image file you will want to use is /images/cdrom.img - It'll ask for a blank floppy. Once the image is written to the floppy, take it to your Linux box and boot off the floppy. Once it gets started, it will ask for the Linux CD, put it in and you're good to go...
