Exactly.

(I'm the guy who complianed just above.  Sorry it took so long, had a nasty power outage + corrupt filesystems ).

I did some thinking about it, and to be more specific, if you hit something, the displayed HP left goes back up next turn.  It may be that the actual HP goes back up to full as well, I just didn't see that happen today (but I'm pretty sure it has happened in the past).  To be specific, I hit a Wild Boar (I think?)  for 19, leaving 14 HP.  I missed on my next stroke, and it displayed as having 35 HP again.  I then hit it for 70, and it died (of course).  As I didn't hid it for, say, 20 HP (which would have killed an injured mob but not a healthy one) I can't state for certain on the internal state, but I *KNOW* it displayed a health mob.  I was using at the time a Blade of Nevermore, but it has happened with other weapons in the past.

I rather doubt that this matters, but I am also using the Linux release of Mozilla, v .90, with talkback enabled.  The version of Netscape I have for Linux sucks rocks through a straw :(.

Very strange. The HP seems to even vary a bit - sometimes back to full, sometimes just a small increase. I now know what I am looking for and will begin studying the code for the attack sequence. Pretty bizaare. I'll be interested to see what strange twist of logic is causing this!
