For quite a while, log-offs have taken a long time, and "ghost" players were showing in the "who's on" list - showing as 'on' long after their session had expired. Finally tracked it down to a problem with the ODBC configuration - it was using Named Pipes instead of TCP/IP to communicate with the SQL 7 server, and the global.asa Session_OnEnd section was unable to establish a connection to the database server when shutting down a person's session. Switched it to TCP/IP and everything seems to work nicely now.
