I figure US invades Canada to be least likely. These are two very stable nations. The US would have to be facing some huuuuge crisis in energy supply, global warming, or overcrowding, with Canada holding the key to one of these somehow. I hardly see it happening, even in fifty years, but you never know.

Actually that is a high probability event. USA will invade Canada if it switches to some extreme right wing system (like fascism), while Canada becomes extreme left wing (like socialism or anarchism). If that happens, I will guarantee you that USA will invade Canada. Before they invade, though, they will use their typical techinques of trying to install a proxy. If the proxy fails, they will invade under the pretext of trying to promote democracy and freedom...

Canada has 60% of the world's reserves of drinking water.

The U.S.A. is wasting water and an exponantially increasing rate.

Plus:
We have as many weapons of mass destruction as Iraq, and the chances of finding either Ossama or Saddam seem to be the same if you invade Afghanistan, Iraq, or Canada.

So, likelyness == "high"

You can't take the sky from me...

I chose the option "US invades Canada", but what I really voted for was "US invades neighbor". See, that poll was obviously created by a Northerner. Had it been created by a Texan or someone from the Southwest it would have been "US invades Mexico", and Mexico is *not* a stable country, and it does have lots of resources that the US could really use. Bush, once upon a time when he occasionally did good even if by accident, was working on Mexican relations so that we could help to stabilize the country and be able to take real advantage of those resources. Now, however, I consider it likely (and, to be honest, somewhat desirable) that Bush will invade Mexico if the so-called energy crisis we have gets a lot more serious than it is. As long as he doesn't get re-elected more than once, we're safe. (I suspect that if he gets re-elected in 2004 he'll push to have the term limit removed)

There's no good reason to invade Canada until they finally get toppled into a dictatorship (which many Canadians seem to think is likely in the near future), and we'd never conquor Canada, not our racist country, no way would we conquor white people.

I'm with you most of the way on this. You're right - there is no 'good' reason to invade Canada... but I still live in fear. Since when has the US ever needed a reason to unshackle its war machine? Past experience has shown that the most cockamanie pretext will do. Remember Panama? Panama was relatively stable. Fat lot of good that did for the 3000 civilians that died.
I live in a nation with 10 % of the world's fresh water, and 0.5 % of the population. To the south is a nation that has ummm, California, for example, which has dropped their water table several metres over the last century, and has shown little evidence of whole-heartedly embracing sound agricultural practice. They will NOT be able to go on like that much longer. So, when Canadians decide as a whole that we want a fair market price for our water (which we appear to be willing to sell), then I expect that your alleged leader would bring the troops closer to home.
What resource does NAME_OF_COUNTRY_GOES_HERE have that they are not selling to the US at (or below) fair market value? Seeing as your answer for Mexico isn't NULL, I think we could see both. Shudder.
