It CAN be done. I've done it many times. Yes, the penmanship isn't as good as when I keep my eyes on it, but it's still legible, at least to me.

Try it, it's easier than you think

- The trick is to break the programmed link between writing and viewing. It feel pretty weird at first.
- Keeping the text from going up or downhill is the tricky part. It can be frustrating, but have patience.
- You can feel the edge of the paper with the outside of your palm, so you don't have to worry about writing outside the paper.
- It gets better with practice.
