National Geographic has the story and pictures about researchers finding the remains of a colony of small (3 feet/1 meter) hobbit-like species of human discovered in Indonesia that lived up until a volcanic explosion 19,000 years ago, so they lived the same time as our species, possibly founding the ancient rumors of "little people"!!
