Many. People on unemployment spend every dime of their check. Capitalism is driven by demand. This is pretty elementary stuff.

I love that this is the dichotomy now:

We can't afford to give the sector doing the worst (unemployed) $33 billion. It doesn't make fiscal sense.

We can't afford to NOT give the sector doing the best ($250k+) a tax break of $700 billion. It's the only thing that makes fiscal sense.

In other words, we could fund unemployment extensions at the currently requested level for 21 years for the same cost as the upper income tax breaks.

Do none of you Republican voters own calculators, or what? Some severe math failure going on....
