This new COVID vaccine has several distinct features that make it particularly suitable for use in resource-poor settings: it is safe, effective and can be locally produced at very high quantities. CORBEVAX is easy to store and inexpensive. We hope it will be used in low- and middle-income countries in Africa, Asia and Latin America, where vaccine availability has generally been abysmal.Scientific American - A COVID Vaccine for All

Wherever they settle, humans tend to chop down trees and clear land. This loss of vegetation affects the land’s ability to retain moisture. Grazing animals trample and consume plants when they try to grow back. The soil loses its structure and is washed away – hence the silt in Lake Bardawil. Van der Hoeven calculated the lake contained about 2.5bn cubic metres of silt. If one were to restore the Sinai, this vast reserve of nutrient-rich material was exactly what would be needed. “It became clear we had a massive opportunity,” he says. “It wasn’t the solution to a single problem; it was the solution to all the problems.”Some fascinating reading about a teams of people and governments who have figured out how to restore now-arid lands back to their original climate. The Loess area of Northern China had been so damaged by human activity over hundreds of years, but they were able to reverse that 20 years ago! Read more at: The Scientists Turning the Deserts Green Again

Is your child troubled by critical thought and analysis? Careful examination of function and value? These are but a few of the devastating symptoms of a plague that once ravaged our country. At its peak in 1979, Literacy affected 99.9% of Americans. Today, thanks to tireless efforts of a dedicated few, we've knocked that number down to 99%... but we still have a long way to go. We are working to stamp out literacy in your lifetime. For every $100 we receive in donations, $40 goes to putting a DS in the hands of an at-risk child and $30 goes to the campaign fund for politicians working to eradicate teachers. Literacy is a burden, but together we can put an end to it. Give generously. Thank you

"Anyone who is willing to work and is serious about it will certainly find a job."Only you must not go to the man who tells you this, for he has no job to offer and doesn't know anyone who knows of a vacancy. This is exactly the reason why he gives you such generous advice, out of brotherly love, and to demonstrate how little he knows the world.

Wherever you stand, please take the time to read this;We know Dick Lamm as the former Governor of Colorado .. In that context his thoughts are particularly poignant. Last week there was an immigration overpopulation conference in Washington , DC , filled to capacity by many of America 's finest minds and leaders. A brilliant college professor by the name of Victor Hansen Davis talked about his latest book, 'Mexifornia,' explaining how immigration - both legal and illegal was destroying the entire state of California . He said it would march across the country until it destroyed all vestiges of The American Dream.Moments later, former Colorado Governor Richard D. Lamm stood up and gave a stunning speech on how to destroy America. The audience sat spellbound as he described eight methods for the destruction of the United States . He said, 'If you believe that America is too smug, too self-satisfied, too rich, then let's destroy America . It is not that hard to do. No nation in history has survived the ravages of time. Arnold Toynbee observed that all great civilizations rise and fall and that 'An autopsy of history would show that all great nations commit suicide.'''Here is how they do it,' Lamm said:'First, to destroy America , turn America into a bilingual or multi-lingual and bicultural country...  History shows that no nation can survive the tension, conflict, and antagonism of two or more competing languages and cultures. It is a blessing for an individual to be bilingual; however, it is ...

Anti-Smoking Advocate Reportedly Claims that Electronic Cigarettes are More Dangerous than Real Ones According to an article in the Spartan Daily, the wellness and health promotion coordinator at San Jose State University is claiming that electronic cigarettes are more hazardous than actual cigarettes. According to the article: "Electronic cigarettes may be more harmful and life threatening for those who choose to smoke them compared to an actual pack of cigarettes, said the wellness and health promotion coordinator at the Health Center. 'Many students don't know how much nicotine are in these e-cigs, and students don't know how harmful that can be,' Jennifer Gacutan-Galang said. What many students also don't know about the e-cig is that it is not FDA approved, she said. ... 'What the e-cig companies don't tell you is the amount of nicotine in each e-cig,' Gacutan-Galang said. 'Even though the e-cig does not have the 4,000 plus chemicals, they contain nicotine, which is the chemical that makes cigarettes addictive.' Gacutan-Galang said a student brought in an e-cig starter kit he had purchased from Valley Fair Mall and nowhere on the box or the pamphlet of the $120 product was the amount of nicotine printed." The Rest of the Story This is not only inaccurate information, it is also damaging. It sounds like the wellness coordinator is advising students to stick with regular cigarettes rather than switch to electronic ones. Her main concern seems to be that it is not known how much nicotine is in the electronic ...

America outspends China on defense by a margin of more than six to one, the Pentagon estimates. [1] In another strategic dimension, though, China already holds a six-to-one advantage over the United States. Thirty-six million Chinese children study piano today, compared to only 6 million in the United States.[2] The numbers understate the difference, for musical study in China is more demanding. It must be a conspiracy. Chinese parents are selling plasma-screen TVs to America, and saving their wages to buy their kids pianos - making American kids stupider and Chinese kids smarter. Watch out, Americans - a generation from now, your kid is going to fetch coffee for a Chinese boss. That is a bit of anexaggeration, of course - some of the bosses will be Indian. Americans really, really don’t have a clue what is coming down the pike. The present shift in intellectual capital in favor of the East has no precedent in world history."Chinese parents urge their children to excel at instrumental music with the same ferocity that American parents [urge] theirs to perform well in soccer or Little League,” wrote Jennifer Lin in the Philadelphia Inquirer June 8 in an article entitled China's 'piano fever'.The world’s largest country is well along the way to forming an intellectual elite on a scale that the world has never seen, and against which nothing in today’s world - surely not the inbred products of the Ivy League puppy mills - can compete. Few of its piano students will earn ...

Over THERE wherever the poster is from, THEIR education system is so bad that THEY'RE making repeated mistakes over and over. THERE needs to be an improvement in THEIR attitude towards THEIR literacy. As long as THERE exists a culture of flippancy towards being properly literate, THEIR children will always respond to people correcting THEIR use of language with indignant responses scoffing at the need to be accurate in the use of language. THEY'RE constantly talking about things like "evolution of language" and that THERE have been many changes in the use of words over history, but THEIR mistake stems from the fact that THEY'RE completely disregarding the difference between language evolving to meet different circumstances, and language devolving due to the apathy and ignorance of those who speak it.
